Mishmak Youth Theatre

My goal with Mishmak YT was to create a youth theatre that encouraged self expression, offered performance opportunities, built confidence and offered a safe space for kids to be themselves with all their quirks and brilliance.

We opened in 2010 and now have two branches, one in Datchet near Windsor and the other in Carshalton near Sutton.

The boy has short hair, is wearing a jacket with a word printed on it, and is smiling while looking at the girl. They are indoors, near a display or light source, with a patterned curtain and a structure in the background.

Make friends

We pride ourselves on being inclusive and welcoming. The young people who attend our classes and perform in our shows make friends for life.

Drama not dance?

You choose which classes you want to take. The majority of our members do drama, dance and singing but we have many who do one or two. Decide after your free trial!

Professional training

Our classes are taught by professional actors, singers and dancers who have experience in the stage and screen industries and bring their passion and enthusiasm into our rehearsal rooms

Working as a team

Drama is a team sport, everyone has to work together to rehearse the scenes, learn the lines and lyrics and blocking (moves).

Live theatre is high pressure, exhilarating and exciting. Everyone is reliant on everyone else to do their role, the experience of that creates bonds, builds resilience and responsibility for one another.

Encouraging self expression and creativity is at the heart of what we do

It’s brave to perform in front of an audience, to offer ideas in a rehearsal room and to be creative in front of your peers. We love that courage, it makes our hearts sing.

Having the confidence to express themselves is our wish for every young person at Mishmak

Take the work seriously, never yourself
